1901-02 Cornet Project Conn "New York Wonder" Completed!

This is a family photo provided by Mr. Stover a year or so after I completed the repairs for him.  His Grandfather is pictured seated, in the front row, third from the right holding the cornet featured below.
Here is the cornet in it's case when I received it in April, 2021.
Here is the cornet after my work on it in September, 2021.

Here are the accessories and mouthpiece and case condition in April, 2021.

Here are the repaired case and the accessories after my work.  I've added a Conn 18 mouthpiece I received from my college trumpet professor, Jim Darling in the late 1980's.  I never have used it, nor do I intend to.  It's too big for me!  It looks much better filling the space once occupied by another in the case.

This was the condition of the A and Bb mouth pipes in April 2021

Here are the A and Bb pipes straitened and with newly fabricated parts.

The valves as they appeared in April, 2021.

The valves in September, 2021 with new felts.
Chemical and Sonic Cleaning does wonders!

The mouthpiece that came with the cornet.  A Jules Levey #6 model.
